Okay, so I’ve been following the College Football Playoff stuff pretty closely this year. I mean, who hasn’t, right? It’s been a wild season! I remember sitting down on that Sunday, December 8th, to see the official bracket announcement. I started by gathering all information as much as possible, and sorting it out.

I grabbed my laptop, got comfortable on the couch, and started digging around online. First, I got the basic structure down.
- I noticed they mentioned the quarterfinals right off the bat, and started to plan the schedule.
- I wrote down the matchups that were already set: Oregon vs. Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, and Georgia vs. Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl.
- Then I saw something about the first-round games being played at the home field of the higher-seeded team. That’s always an interesting twist, gives those teams a bit of an edge.
I started mapping out the dates. It looked like the whole thing kicked off on December 20th and ran until January 20th. That’s a full month of college football madness! And I saw there were going to be 11 games in total. I made a note to clear my schedule for those dates – you know, priorities!
I kept going with my research, finding all the details about the different bowls. Besides the Rose and Sugar Bowls, I jotted down that there was also a Peach Bowl in the mix. With all of this information, I started to organize it to be a clear bracket.
Finally, I felt like I had a good handle on the whole College Football Playoff picture. I had my bracket, I had the schedule, and I had all the teams and matchups in one place. It felt good to be organized and ready for the games to start. Now it was just a matter of waiting and watching all the action unfold on the field! I was pumped to see which teams would come out on top. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite times of the year!
