World Cup Balls Over The Years: Changes in Design

Okay, here’s my blog post about “world cup balls over the years”, written from my personal experience and in a casual, conversational tone:

World Cup Balls Over The Years: Changes in Design

So, I got this idea to look into all the different World Cup balls they’ve used over the years. I mean, it’s the one piece of equipment that’s always there, right? Every game, every goal, every bit of heartbreak… it all involves the ball.

I started by just, you know, Googling around. “World Cup balls,” “history of World Cup balls,” that kind of thing. There’s a surprising amount of info out there, pictures and everything. I wanted to make my own through it.

My Process of Exploration

I decided to go chronologically. Made sense to me. I created a simple document, my own page to keep all my findings.

  • I began listing each World Cup year.
  • Then, I dug up what the ball was called for that year. Some of them have pretty cool names, like “Telstar” and “Brazuca.”
  • Next, I tried to find a decent picture of each one.
  • I add a short description for them.

It was actually kind of a pain, going back and forth between different websites, and double-checking the information. Because Some details are pretty vague. It’s all part of the fun though, right? It makes you find more, to dig more.

I realized that there are totally different and some patterns could show over the years.

It turned out to be a way bigger project than I thought it would be! But hey, I learned a ton, and now I’ve got this cool, comprehensive overview of World Cup balls. Mission accomplished!
