Why play golf at the links at bodega harbour bodega bay ca? (Discover its stunning coastal charm)

Alright, so I’m gonna tell you about this trip I made out to The Links at Bodega Harbour. Been meaning to get out there for a while, you know? Heard folks talking, some good, some, well, you know how it is. Anyway, finally got a day free, so I just went for it.

Getting There and First Look

Packed up my stuff, not too much, just the essentials. The drive itself, heading towards Bodega Bay, that’s always a bit of a treat. The air changes, you start smelling the ocean. Pulled into the Bodega Harbour area, found The Links. First impression? Pretty striking. It’s right there, by the water. You can’t miss that.

Got myself sorted, checked in, whatever you call it. Staff were alright, seemed busy but got me pointed in the right direction. Didn’t hang about, wanted to get out on the course.

Out on The Links

So, I started my round. Now, I gotta say, this place, it’s got character. It’s not one of those flat, boring courses. Nosiree. This one, it makes you think. The wind, man, the wind out there can be something else. Comes right off the Pacific, no messing around. You gotta account for that with every shot, pretty much.

The views, though. Wow. On some of those holes, you’re looking right out over the ocean. Doran Beach, Bodega Head, the whole shebang. Pretty distracting, in a good way. Lost a ball or two just staring, probably. Ha!

  • Played a few good shots.
  • Played a few… not so good. That’s golf, right?
  • The greens were decent. Rolled pretty true.
  • Bunkers? Yeah, found a couple of those too. Standard.

I remember one hole, can’t recall the number, but it ran right along the cliffs. Felt like you could just slice one straight into the drink. Definitely kept me on my toes. Walked the whole thing, of course. Got my steps in, and then some. It’s a good walk, some ups and downs, but nothing too crazy. Just enough to make you feel like you earned that drink afterwards.

Wrapping It Up

Finished up the round. Tired, a bit windswept, but feeling good. You know that feeling? When you’ve been outside all day, wrestled with a tough course, and just… emptied the tank a bit.

Didn’t do much else there. Just played my game, took in the scenery, and headed off. Sometimes that’s all you need. Would I go back? Yeah, I think I would. It’s a solid place. If you’re looking for a pretty challenging round with some top-notch views, especially if you like that coastal golf feel, well, The Links at Bodega Harbour, it delivers on that front. Simple as that.

So, that was my day out there. Just me, the clubs, and that Bodega Bay wind. Good times.
