Alright, so a few days ago, I got curious about this guy, Michael Kornheiser. You know, the name sounded familiar, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. So, I did what any normal person would do and started digging around the internet to find out more about him.
Turns out, Michael is actually the son of this famous sports personality, Tony Kornheiser. Yeah, I didn’t know that either until I started my little investigation. Apparently, Tony’s been around for a while, doing radio shows since like the early 90s, mostly in the Washington, DC, area. But the thing he’s probably best known for is co-hosting this show called “Pardon the Interruption,” or “PTI,” on ESPN. And get this, he’s been doing that since 2001 with another guy named Michael Wilbon. I mean, that’s over 20 years!
So, I’m reading all this, and I find out that Tony has two kids, and one of them is Michael. It says Michael works behind the scenes and also contributes to his dad’s podcast. Now, that’s pretty cool, right? Working with your dad on something like that.
Then, I got curious about what Tony’s been up to lately. I guess after COVID hit, he started doing his show from home. But just recently, like in December 2023, he went back to the studio for a bit. He told viewers not to get used to it, though. He’s been going back every now and then when Wilbon’s also there.
I also found out a few random things about Tony. Like, he lives in this place called Chevy Chase in DC and also has a place in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. He’s married to a woman named Karril, and they’ve been together for a while. And apparently, back in 2013, Tony, Wilbon, and another guy named Tony Reali went to the White House. It just made me think of how big they must be to be invited there!
But yeah, I mostly wanted to learn more about Michael, and it turns out he’s just this regular guy working on his dad’s podcast, which is pretty awesome. I always find it interesting to see how these famous people’s kids turn out, you know? Anyway, that’s my little deep dive into the world of Michael and Tony Kornheiser. It was a fun little adventure, and I figured I’d share it with you all!
