Okay so I straight up wasted like two hours hunting for this yesterday and I’m still kinda salty about it. Forgot about that Loaded Dice thing for my Crabominable until I saw some battle video online. Needed that item bad for all those multi-hit moves. Searched “where to find loaded dice pokemon violet” and holy moly, got hit with a million guides saying different stuff! Annoying. Mostly pointed to wild Tynamo or Cetoddle. Decided to check both spots cause why not.
My First Dumb Idea: Fishing in Casseroya Lake
Grabbed my bike and dashed to the big lake north of Cortondo. Water looked nice, thought maybe Tynamo would be chill here. Threw my rod in like a thousand times near the trees close to the lighthouse island thing. Seriously, no freaking Tynamo. Pulled up like fifty Magikarp and maybe a Buizel. Useless. Saw a post later saying Tynamo only like rivers? Felt like an idiot.
Second Try: Freezing My Butt Off on Glaseado Mountain
Zoomed up to Glaseado Mountain, near the snowy slopes. Easy to see wild Cetoddle here running around. Got into battles every five seconds. Started chucking Quick Balls like candy trying to catch them as fast as possible. Seriously spammed like:
- 35 Quick Balls
- Maybe 15 Ultra Balls (overkill, I know)
- Ran from way too many wild Snorunt and Cubchoo
Caught probably eight or nine Cetoddle. Checked every single one. Not one had the dice. Zero. Started wondering if the guide writers were trolling me.
Almost Gave Up But Made a Sandwich (Obviously)
Was super frustrated, thought maybe try Tynamo again but the right way. Headed to South Province (Area Three), the river where you cross on that huge bridge. Actually saw some Tynamo sparking in the water! Finally! Realized I needed more than just luck. Made an absolute trash-tier sandwich right there on the riverbank.
Took:
- Peanut Butter
- Banana
- Hamburger Patty (Don’t judge, it was lying around)
Crimson Type sandwich, boosted Electric Encounter Power. Looked disgusting but I ate it like a champ. Worth it? Maybe.
The Final Grind By the Riverside
Sparked up that Electric Encounter sandwich and went to town in the river. Found Tynamo way more often now. Finally found one after like 10 minutes. Thought “Here we go!”. Threw a Quick Ball, caught it super easy. Held my breath. Checked its held item… Oran Berry. Seriously?
Kept at it. Saw another Tynamo nearby. Ran into it real quick. Caught that one too. Checked its little invisible backpack… BOOM! Loaded Dice! No sparkles or anything, just sitting there in its inventory. Felt amazing. Took roughly fifty-five dumb battles and two awful sandwiches, but I got it.
So yeah, Tynamo in South Province Area Three near the bridge, with an Electric Encounter boost sandwich. Don’t bother freezing on the mountain. Just got lucky on the riverbank after spamming a few sandwiches. Save your time, friends.
