Alright, so my kid really wanted that Ultimate Ditto upgrade in the Ben 10 game. Kept bugging me about where to find it. Said youtubers were all talking about “secret spots” but never showing it clearly. So yeah, I figured I’d put on my dad-researching-cap and hunt it down myself.
Starting the Hunt (Frustration Already!)
First thing I did was boot up the game. Just went running around the main city area like a headless chicken. You know, checking every alley, jumping on every rooftop. Found extra coins, some power boosters, the usual junk… but Ditto? Nope. Nothing. Zip.
Spent like, maybe an hour doing this. Started getting annoyed. Thought maybe it was a timed event? So I tried playing at different “times” in the game world – morning, noon, midnight. Still nada. Just the same NPCs walking around.
Time to Try the Wild Areas…
Okay, fine. Left the city. Headed out to the desert zone. Big open space, lots of rocks and those weird alien plants. Scanned everywhere with the Omnitrix scanner thingy. Highlighted enemies, highlighted some buried items… but no sign of the special Ditto upgrade marker. Got chased by sand monsters instead. Great.
Thought “Maybe the jungle?” Flew over there. Sticky situation. Climbed the giant vines, checked behind waterfalls, even poked around the little huts where the caveman-like dudes hang out. Found a secret chest with a costume. Cool for me, not cool for my kid waiting for Ditto. Getting worried it was gonna take all night.
That “Duh!” Moment Near the City Edge
Finally, almost gave up. Decided to just circle back towards the city outskirts, feeling kinda defeated. Was gliding down slowly from a hill near the city wall, behind a few factories. Kinda grimy area, not flashy. Barely look there usually.
Then BOOM! Landed near this big, rusty overflow pipe sticking out of the wall. It looked just like boring background junk, right? But for some reason, I decided to blast it with one quick shot from Heatblast. AND THE WALL BEHIND IT JUST DISAPPEARED. I was like… “Wait, WHAT?”
Turns out it wasn’t solid. Just an illusion wall hiding a little alcove. Walked inside this super hidden little pipe room thing. Super dark and damp. Flipped on the Omnitrix light… and right there, glowing green on a crate next to a pile of pipes: The Ultimate Ditto Upgrade! Just sitting there. Felt stupid it was so close to the start the whole time.
Got It! So Where Exactly?
So, if anyone else is tearing their hair out:
- Go to the city map.
- Head to the far EAST side. Look for the big, grey industrial wall separating the city from the desert/jungle zone.
- Find a giant, rusty overflow pipe halfway up that wall, tucked behind some factory buildings. Looks like pure decoration.
- Blast that pipe spot with a fire or beam attack. Doesn’t need to be strong.
- Wall vanishes. Walk straight into the little hidden area.
- Ultimate Ditto Upgrade is on a crate inside. Grab it and get transformed!
Seriously, it was RIGHT THERE all along near the edge. Just had to shoot the dumb pipe! Hope this saves someone else the hours of wandering I did. Kid was happy, mission accomplished.
