So, I got this idea a while back to start following the LNBP, you know, the basketball league down in Mexico. Sounded kinda interesting, something different from the usual stuff you see everywhere.

Getting Started – The Hunt for Info
First thing, I tried finding out when the games were actually happening. You’d think that’d be easy, right? Well, sort of. I poked around online. Some places list schedules, yeah. Found one site, I remember seeing mentions of Sofascore having matches listed maybe, things like that. But honestly, getting a consistent, official schedule felt like a bit of a chase.
Then came the real challenge: watching the games. Finding streams was tough. Not like the NBA where it’s blasted everywhere. I spent a good chunk of time searching forums, random streaming sites, trying to figure out if games were even broadcast internationally. Sometimes you’d find something that might work, sometimes not. Often it was just highlights later.
- Finding reliable schedules took some digging.
- Live streams? Hit or miss, mostly miss for me outside Mexico.
- Team info and stats were also scattered. Some team websites were okay, others felt outdated.
What I Found Out
It felt like the league’s online presence wasn’t really geared towards people like me, just casually trying to follow from abroad. Everything felt very… local. Which makes sense, I guess, but it made being a casual fan tricky.
You really had to put in the effort. It wasn’t like just tuning in. You had to actively hunt down information, piece things together. It reminded me of trying to follow lower-division soccer leagues back in the day, before everything was online.
Why was I even doing this? Honestly, it was during that weird period a couple of years back, stuck at home more than usual. Just needed something new to focus on, a little project. Trying to follow the LNBP became that project. Kept me busy for a bit, digging around, trying to find info.

Did I become a superfan? Nah. It was too much work just to figure out when and where to watch. But it was an interesting experience. Showed me how easy we have it following the big leagues, and how much effort goes into just accessing sports sometimes.
So yeah, that was my little adventure trying to get into LNBP Mexico. A bit frustrating, but kinda fun in its own way. Just a record of my attempt, really.
