Okay, so I was messing around online the other day, trying to figure out when the next Field of Dreams game is happening. You know, that baseball game they play out in the cornfields in Iowa, just like in the movie? It’s a pretty cool event, and I wanted to see when the next one was scheduled.
I started by hitting up Google, just typing in “when is the next Field of Dreams game?” The first few results were a bit of a bummer. Apparently, there won’t be one in 2024. Bummer, right? I dug a little deeper and found out they’re taking a break because of some construction happening at the field. I mean, fair enough, gotta keep the place looking good.
Then, I stumbled upon some info about a TV show called “Field of Dreams.” It’s a documentary, follows some young cricketers, and it’s getting a third season. Not really what I was looking for, but hey, still sounds interesting.
I kept scrolling, and I saw that they actually had a Field of Dreams game back in 2022. It was the Cubs versus the Reds, on August 11th. Man, I wish I’d known about that! I would’ve totally tried to watch it. It was the second one they’d ever done. They did mention something about another game at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, but I’m not sure about the details there.

So, When’s The Next Game?
From what I can tell, while they haven’t announced an official date, there’s a good chance they’ll bring the Field of Dreams game back in 2025. So, I guess I’ll just have to wait a bit longer. It’s a bummer, but I’m still excited to see it happen again. They are doing construction to make it better for youth tournaments, so it’ll be worth the wait!
