Today, I wanted to play around with something called “ferri.” I had heard about it here and there, and it sounded interesting enough to check out. So, I got started.
Get things ready
First, I needed to make sure I had everything set up properly. I went ahead and got all the necessary tools and dependencies installed on my machine. It wasn’t too much of a hassle, just a few commands here and there, and I was good to go.
Dive into it
After that, I started experimenting. I opened up my editor and began writing some code. It was a bit confusing at first, not gonna lie. I had to figure out how things worked, and it took some trial and error to get it right. I messed up a couple of times, got some weird errors, but I kept at it. Each time I failed, I figured out what was wrong, and I made a note of it.
Keep trying
I spent a good chunk of the day trying out different things. I tried this way, that way, and a bunch of other ways. I even did some quick searches when I got stuck, which helped a lot. It was like a puzzle, and I was slowly putting the pieces together. It’s kind of fun when you get the hang of it. Not always, though. Sometimes it’s just frustrating.
Get it working
Finally, after hours of tinkering, I managed to get something working. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start. I could see the thing doing what it was supposed to do, and that felt pretty good. It’s always satisfying when you see your code actually run and do something useful. Even if it’s just a small thing, you know? Feels like an accomplishment.
Document everything
- Tried a new method, didn’t work.
- Found a bug, fixed it.
- Realized a mistake, corrected it.
I made sure to write down everything I did, every step, every mistake, and every fix. This way, I can go back and see what I did right and what I did wrong. Plus, it helps me remember how I got to where I am now. It’s good to keep track of these things, you never know when you might need to refer back to them, or even share them with someone else. Who knows, maybe my notes will help someone else avoid the same pitfalls. I like to keep things simple and straightforward, just like this.
So, that was my day with “ferri.” It was a good learning experience, and I’m glad I took the time to explore it. Maybe I’ll do more with it in the future, or maybe I’ll move on to something else. We’ll see. Either way, it was a day well spent, I think.
