What if Michael Jackson joined WWE? (These are the dream matches everyone talks about!).

So, I got this weird idea stuck in my head the other day. Michael Jackson… in a WWE ring. Yeah, I know, sounds completely bonkers, right? But the thought just wouldn’t leave me alone, so I figured, why not try and make it happen? Just to see if I could, you know?

What if Michael Jackson joined WWE? (These are the dream matches everyone talks about!).

First thing, I had to dig out my old WWE game. Don’t even remember which version it was, probably 2K-something. They all kinda blur together after a while. The main thing was it had one of those create-a-wrestler modes. I thought, “How hard can it be?” Famous last words, as always.

Let me tell you, getting that face right was a real piece of work. I must have spent a good couple of hours just fiddling with all those damn sliders. Trying to get the nose, the eyes, that chin… MJ had such a unique look, and the game’s tools, well, they’re mostly built for big, beefy wrestler dudes. Not exactly pop royalty. It was frustrating, moving one thing, then another looking off. More than once I almost just gave up.

Then came the outfit. That was another adventure. I was aiming for that classic “Billie Jean” vibe, or maybe something from “Smooth Criminal.”

You know the drill:

  • The sparkly glove – yeah, good luck finding an exact match for that.
  • The fedora – got something close enough, I guess.
  • The jacket – had to settle for something that was kinda, sorta the right shape.
  • Those high-water pants and white socks.

The game’s wardrobe isn’t exactly overflowing with pop star gear, so it was a lot of making do with what was there. A real pain, honestly.

Next up: the moveset. This was where I thought I could have some fun. Obviously, he wasn’t going to be hitting anyone with a Stone Cold Stunner. I tried to pick moves that looked flashy, quick, maybe a bit dance-like. Lots of spins, some high kicks. And the taunts! Had to get the Moonwalk in there somehow. I found a taunt that was kinda like it, if you squinted. Tried to add some of his signature poses, the crotch grab, that finger point. It was a laugh, trying to imagine him actually doing this stuff in a fight.

So, after all that effort, how did my Michael Jackson creation turn out? Well… it was… something. If you stood way back, and the lighting was just right, you could kinda tell who it was supposed to be. Maybe. The entrance was probably the best part. I found some generic music that didn’t sound too unlike his stuff, dimmed the arena lights, and had him do a slow walk to the ring with a few spins. That part was pretty cool, I admit.

Actually putting him in a match? Pure comedy. I threw him in there against someone like Kane or The Big Show. Just to see what would happen. He’d do a little twirl, maybe a “hee-hee,” and then just get absolutely demolished by a clothesline. It wasn’t exactly what you’d call a wrestling clinic, but man, it made me chuckle.

It was a silly project, really. Probably wasted a whole afternoon on it. But sometimes you just get these dumb ideas, and you gotta see them through, right? It just goes to show, you can bend these games to do some pretty weird stuff if you’ve got the patience. Or maybe if you’re just stubborn enough. Yeah, probably more stubborn than patient, if I’m being honest with myself. Anyway, that was my little experiment with bringing the King of Pop to the squared circle. What a time.
