Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here NC State versus Purdue basketball game. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I watched it, and I got some things to say.
First off, this game was on somethin’ called TBS. Now, I don’t know much about all these fancy channels, but I heard you could also watch it on that Sling thingy. Folks these days, they got so many ways to watch stuff, it makes my head spin. Back in my day, we had one channel, and that was it! And sometimes, the picture was all fuzzy, like ants crawlin’ all over the screen. But I guess that’s just how it is now, everyone watchin’ on their little phones and such.
This Purdue team, they were supposed to be real good, a 9.5-point favorite they said. That means they was expected to win by a lot, like almost 10 points! That’s a big deal in basketball, I reckon. They got a fella named Zach Edey, and he’s a big ol’ boy, real tall and strong. He was scorin’ all over the place. But NC State, them Wolfpack fellas, they didn’t give up easy. They fought hard, they did.

The game was on Saturday, April 6th, at 6:09 p.m. Eastern Time, whatever that means. I guess that’s when folks in New York and them places watch it. Out here, we just watch whenever the sun goes down and the chores are done. But it was a big game, see, part of somethin’ they call the Final Four. That means there’s only four teams left, and they’re fightin’ to be the very best.
Now, I heard tell that Purdue is 5 and 1. That means they won five games and lost one. That’s pretty good, I guess. But NC State, them Wolfpack, they were sneaky good. They didn’t have as many fancy players, maybe, but they played as a team. They passed the ball around, and they helped each other out. That’s how you win games, see, not just by bein’ tall and strong like that Edey fella.
This Sling TV, I hear it’s got a bunch of channels, over 95 they say. That’s a whole lot of watchin’. I don’t know what you’d do with all them channels. I reckon you could watch somethin’ different every day of the year and still not see everything. But folks like their choices, I guess. Me, I’m happy just watchin’ a good basketball game, even if it’s just on that one channel we got.
And this game, it was a close one for a while. Purdue was ahead, then NC State would come back. Back and forth, like a seesaw. It was excitin’, kept you on the edge of your seat. I was yellin’ at the TV, even though them fellas couldn’t hear me. “Go, Wolfpack!” I’d say, or “Get that ball, Purdue!” It’s just fun to get into it, you know? Makes it more interestin’.
But in the end, Purdue, they were just too strong. That Edey fella, he was too much to handle. He kept gettin’ the ball and puttin’ it in the basket. NC State, they tried their best, but they just couldn’t keep up. So Purdue, they won the game and moved on to the next round.
Some folks were sayin’ that Purdue was gonna win it all, be the champions. And maybe they will. They got a good team, that’s for sure. But I tell you what, NC State, them Wolfpack, they got nothin’ to be ashamed of. They played their hearts out, and they made it further than most folks thought they would. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon.
So that’s my take on this here NC State versus Purdue game. It was a good one, a real nail-biter. And even though my team didn’t win, I enjoyed watchin’ it. It’s just fun to see folks competin’ and tryin’ their best. That’s what it’s all about, ain’t it?
