Okay, so I was messing around with some audio stuff today, and I decided to tackle that “Joe Rogan Here Comes The Boom” meme sound. You know the one – super intense, makes you wanna punch a wall or something. Here’s how it went down:

Finding the Goods
First, I needed the raw materials. I’m no audio engineer, so I just hopped online and searched for:
- A clean clip of Joe Rogan saying “Here comes the boom!”
- Some epic, booming sound effects. Think explosions, thunder, maybe a dinosaur roar if I got lucky.
I grabbed a few options for each. Gotta have choices, right?
Chopping It Up
Next, I fired up my trusty audio editor. I used Audacity. Cut out everything but that golden “Here comes the boom!” line. Trimmed it up nice and tight, no extra silence or background noise.
Layering the Boom
This is where the fun began. I started importing those sound effects I downloaded. Tried a few different combinations:
- Explosion: Classic, but kinda generic.
- Thunder: Better, gave it some real rumble.
- Explosion + Thunder: Now we’re talking! Felt pretty powerful.
Tweaking and Fiddling
It sounded okay, but not quite there yet. So I played around with the levels. I wanted the “boom” to really hit, so I boosted the sound effects. And to give it that extra “oomph,” I added some bass boost to the whole thing. Messed with the timing a bit, too, making sure the “boom” hit right after Rogan said the words.

The Final Product
After some tinkering, I had something I was pretty happy with. It’s not gonna win any awards, but it definitely captures that over-the-top, meme-worthy energy. It’s loud, it’s ridiculous, and it makes me chuckle every time I hear it. Mission accomplished!
