Want Israel Adesanyas Physique? Follow this fitness guide.

Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of talk online about Israel Adesanya’s physique. People are always asking how he gets so ripped and stays in such great shape for his fights. I decided to dig in and try to follow his routine, just to see what it’s like. Man, it was tough!

Getting Started

First, I tried to find everything I could about how he trains. I watched a ton of videos and read some articles. It seemed like he does a mix of things, not just one type of workout.

The Workouts

I started hitting the gym, trying to copy what I saw. Here’s the basic breakdown of what I attempted:

  • Cardio: Lots of running. I mean, lots. I tried to get in at least 30-45 minutes of running most days, sometimes throwing in some sprints to really push myself. I HATE running but I do it for the results!
  • Strength Training: This was a mix of bodyweight stuff and weights. I did push-ups, pull-ups (so hard!), squats, and lunges. For weights, I focused on things like deadlifts, bench presses, and rows. I tried to keep the reps high, like 12-15, because it seemed like Adesanya focuses more on endurance than pure strength.
  • Flexibility and Mobility: This is something I usually skip, but I noticed Adesanya does a lot of stretching and yoga-type stuff. So, I added in some dynamic stretches before workouts and some longer stretches afterward. I feel like old man, it’s hard.
  • Striking Practice: Okay, I’m no fighter, but I tried to do some basic shadow boxing and bag work at home. Just to get a feel for the movements. It was actually kind of fun, but I definitely need some lessons. I try to do the boxing one time in a week.

The Diet

This was probably the hardest part. I tried to eat clean, like I read Adesanya does. Lots of lean protein (chicken, fish), veggies, and good carbs (sweet potatoes, brown rice). No processed junk food, which was a killer. I missed my snacks, but I keep focus!

The Results (So Far)

I’ve been doing this for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, it’s intense. I’m definitely feeling stronger and more fit. My cardio has improved a lot, even though I still don’t love running. I can see how this kind of training would get someone in amazing shape for a fight. I’m not at Adesanya’s level, obviously, but I’m feeling pretty good about the progress!

The biggest takeaway for me is the consistency. It’s not about one crazy workout, it’s about showing up every day and putting in the work. I’ll keep at it and see how much further I can push myself. Wish me luck!
