Well, I heard the darnedest thing the other day. This thing, they call it the Twins Pass 2024. Sounds like a whole lotta somethin’, don’t it? I reckon it’s about them baseball games in that big city, them Minnesota Twins games. My neighbor’s kid, he’s always glued to that there TV watchin’ ’em. So this is big news, this Twins Pass thing!
This Twins Pass, it ain’t for sale no more, they say. Finished. Gone. Like last year’s corn crop. If you want to see them Twins play, gotta look at other tickets. I saw on that electric box, the TV that is, somethin’ called */tickets. It sounds like, that’s where you gotta go now. That’s the place to look if you wanna see that game now.
This whole Twins Pass 2024 thing, it was a special deal, I guess. Get in to see a bunch of games, standin’ room only, they say. Like bein’ packed in a chicken coop! But cheap. Real cheap. I heard some folks sayin’ it was $59 a month. Now, that’s cheaper than a new pair of overalls! Some even got it for the whole darn season for somethin’ like $324. Cheaper than a good milk cow, I tell ya!
Now, if you were one of the lucky ones to get this Twins Pass 2024, you were livin’ high on the hog. Eighty games, they say. Eighty! That’s more games than I got teeth left in my head. But you had to get it before April 3rd. That’s what I heard. After that, no more. Done deal. Like tryin’ to get milk from a bull.
Some folks, they was real clever, buyin’ a whole year’s worth of them Twins Pass 2024. Smart cookies, those ones. They got it even cheaper, $55 a month. Now, I don’t know much about that city life, but even I know that’s a steal. Some young whippersnapper was sayin’ it made him wish he was still livin’ downtown. Sounds like this Twins Pass was the cat’s meow!
Now, I heard tell, if one of them games got called off, somethin’ about rain, I reckon. I remember that in my life. Well, if you had that Twins Pass 2024, you were just outta luck. No refunds, no nothin’. Like buyin’ a pig in a poke, I suppose. You take your chances, I guess. It’s a tough world.
But I reckon, this Twins Pass 2024, it’s done and gone now. We just gotta look forward to them Twins playin’ this year. I heard, havin’ twins, that’s a whole different ballgame. More babies, more fun, I suppose. But it’s a lot of work. I remember, when I was young. Oh, that’s a tiring work!
- They say if you had lots of babies before, you might have twins. That’s what some smart folks say, anyway.
- And somethin’ about what color your skin is. White and Black folks have more twins, they say. Hispanics and Asians, not so much.
- And big, tall women, they’re more likely to have twins than little ones. Makes sense, I guess. More room in there!
But you know, sometimes, it’s sad. Sometimes, you lose one of them little babies. That’s a hard thing, a real hard thing. If that happens, you gotta be kind to the folks. Tell ’em you’re sorry for their loss. That’s all you can do, really. Just be there for ’em. It’s important, you know. They may feel happy for the baby that they got, but they may feel bad about the other one.
And then there’s this thing called IVF. I don’t rightly know what it is, but I heard it makes it more likely to have twins. Somethin’ about science and doctorin’. Back in my day, we didn’t have none of that. We just had babies the old-fashioned way. That’s the only way that I know. I think, it’s a good way.
So, this Twins Pass 2024, it’s a big deal, I reckon. Even though it’s gone now. Lots of folks wanted it. Eighty games for cheap. Standin’ room only. A real bargain, if you like that sort of thing. But I prefer to be at home, it’s a good place for me. But you know, that’s just me. Everyone’s different, ain’t they? The world would be a boring place if we were all the same. It is a good world.
