Well, I reckon I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout that uga vs florida 2007 game. Said it was somethin’ else. I don’t know much ’bout football, but I heard it was a big deal. 2007, huh? Time sure does fly. Seems like just yesterday I was chasin’ chickens ’round the yard.
They said it was Georgia Bulldogs playin’ against them Florida Gators. Sounds like a bunch of animals if you ask me. But them young folks, they get all riled up ’bout these games. They said Georgia won that one, 42 to 30. Musta been a real barn burner, as they say.
I heard some folks sayin’ this was one of them games you just don’t forget. One for the ages, they called it. I reckon that’s somethin’. Back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy football. We made our own fun, you know? Playin’ in the dirt, climbin’ trees. Simpler times.

This whole thing, uga vs florida, it’s a big rivalry, I gather. Like two old roosters fightin’ in the pen. They been goin’ at it for years and years. Been more than a hundred years, they say. Georgia’s won more, I hear. 56 wins to Florida’s 44. Since 2010, Georgia’s won nine out of 14 times. Seems like they got the upper hand, those Bulldogs.
They talk about somethin’ called “disputed beginnings” in 1904. Back then I was not even born. Florida folks, they say their school wasn’t what it is now back then. Didn’t even have a team till 1906, or somethin’. Says the team playin’ back then wasn’t really their Florida. Sounds like a lot of excuses to me.
But that 2007 game, that was somethin’ special, they say. Georgia fans, they’ll never forget it. One of the all-time great games between them two teams. I guess if you like football, that’s a big deal. Me? I’d rather watch the sun set over the fields. That’s a sight to behold, I tell ya.
Before that 2007 game, folks thought Florida was gonna win for sure. They’d won a lot before that. In the 17 meetings before, I heard someone say. The pendulum, they called it, was swingin’ Florida’s way. Don’t know what a pendulum is, but it sounds like somethin’ that swings back and forth. Like life, I guess. Ups and downs.
