Okay, let’s talk about this guy, Tyjae Spears, in fantasy football. I started hearing his name pop up more and more, so I figured I’d dive in and see what the fuss was all about.
First thing I did was check out some basic info. He’s a running back for the Tennessee Titans. Noted. Then I started looking at his stats from last season. He ran the ball 43 times for 161 yards and got one touchdown. Seems like he got some decent playing time, but nothing crazy.
Next, I started digging into what people were saying about him. A lot of folks seemed to think he was a solid player. Someone mentioned him being a good “pass blocker” and “catcher,” and that he “runs like hell.” Sounds promising, right?
Then I started seeing him mentioned as a good “sleeper” pick for fantasy drafts. Apparently, he had some pretty good games toward the end of last season, like, four games where he scored double-digit fantasy points. That definitely caught my eye.
I started thinking about where he might fit in this year’s fantasy drafts. I saw someone say he was just outside the top 100 players. That’s not bad for a guy who’s still kind of under the radar. Plus, he was the third-best rookie running back in terms of catches last year. Dude can catch the ball, which is always a plus in fantasy.
So, I decided to take a chance on him. I snagged him in one of my later rounds, hoping he’d be one of those guys who outperforms his draft position. Felt like a low-risk, high-reward kind of move.
Now, with Tony Pollard joining the Titans, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Would that hurt Tyjae’s chances? Or would it actually help him become a better value pick? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
My Current Thoughts
- I’m keeping an eye on how the Titans use him in the preseason.
- I’m hoping he gets a decent number of touches, even with Pollard there.
- If he shows out in the preseason, I might try to trade for him in some of my other leagues.
Overall, I think Tyjae Spears is a guy to watch. He might not be a superstar just yet, but he’s got the potential to be a real steal in fantasy football this year. I’m excited to see what he does! I mean he is a must-adds player!
