Okay, so yesterday I finally got around to playing Tot Hill Farms Golf Course. I’d heard so much about it, mostly how crazy difficult it is, so I was kinda nervous going in.
First thing I did was hit up the driving range. Gotta loosen up those muscles, you know? Spent about 30 minutes there, just working on my swing. Felt pretty good, actually.
Then, I grabbed a cart – definitely needed one for this course, it’s huge! – and headed to the first tee. Man, the views were already amazing. Rolling hills, lots of trees…really pretty.
- Hole 1: Par 4. Started off decent, bogey.
- Hole 2: Par 5. This one was tough! Lots of elevation changes. Double bogey. Ugh.
- Hole 3: Par 3. Over water. Managed to par it, thankfully!
The front nine was a real rollercoaster. Some holes I did okay, others…not so much. The course is seriously challenging. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are super fast and undulating. My putting was all over the place.
The Back Nine…
The back nine was even crazier. More elevation changes, more water, more…well, everything. There’s this one hole, I think it was the 14th, where you have to hit over this massive ravine. Seriously intimidating!
I am a little bit dizzy
By the end, I was exhausted. My score was…well, let’s just say it wasn’t my best. But honestly, I had a blast. Even though it kicked my butt, Tot Hill Farms is such a unique and memorable course. The views will remain in my mind.
I definitely want to play it again, now that I know what to expect. Maybe I’ll even break 100 next time…maybe.
