Okay, here’s my blog post about figuring out the Toronto Raptors’ starting five, written in a casual, personal style:

Alright, so the other day, I was having this big debate with my buddy about who should be in the Raptors’ starting lineup. We were going back and forth, throwing out names, and getting nowhere. I mean, it’s not like we’re coaches or anything, but it’s fun to pretend, right? So, I decided to do a little digging myself, and let me tell you, it turned into a whole thing.
My Deep Dive into Raptors Lineup
First, I hit up the usual spots online, you know, just to see what the general consensus was. The most I found are these:
- Point Guard.
- Shooting Guard.
- Small Forward.
- Power Forward.
- Center.
Then, I started watching some recent game highlights. I figured, hey, gotta see these guys in action to really judge, right? I spent a good couple of hours just glued to the screen, pausing, rewinding, the whole shebang. My wife thought I was crazy, studying plays like I was gonna be tested on them.
I jotted down some notes, too. It’s kind of nerdy, I know, but I wanted to keep track of who was playing well together, who was making those key shots, and who was just a beast on defense. I even made a little chart, comparing stats and stuff. It was getting pretty serious!
After all that, I came up with my own ideal starting five. I won’t bore you with all the details from my super-scientific analysis, but finally, I have the answer in my mind is: Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl, and Gradey Dick.

It might be different next week, who knows? But for now, that’s where I’m at. It was a fun little project, and hey, maybe I’ll even impress my buddy with my newfound “expertise” next time we chat hoops.
