Alright, so, I got this itch to get myself a new ride, and I’ve been eyeballing the Znen Thundercats. Heard some good stuff about it, and the name itself, Thundercats, just sounds badass, right? Reminds me of that old cartoon I used to watch as a kid. So I started digging around, comparing it with other bikes, you know, just to be sure.

First thing I did was pit it against the Hero xtreme 125R IBS. Looked at the specs, the colors, all that jazz. Then I moved on to the Hero Splendor+ XTEC, same deal. Specs, colors, the whole nine yards. I even stumbled upon some user reviews and feature comparisons. Man, the internet is a rabbit hole, I tell ya. You start with one thing and end up spending hours just clicking around. I checked those bike showrooms, and parts shops online too.
Then I started comparing it to some older models, just for kicks. I threw the Hero Splendor iSmart Plus, the Hero Honda CBZ, and the Hero Xtreme Sports into the mix. It was interesting to see how the Thundercats stacked up against these classics in terms of features and looks.
But you know what really caught my attention? It wasn’t just the specs and comparisons. It was this feeling, this connection. I found out Wave 2 consist of He-Man, Panthro, and Tygra! So with the first 2 waves, we will have our core 4 ThunderCats. I know it sounds silly, but it brought back some good memories.
And the bike itself? From what I’ve gathered, it’s not just a pretty face. People are saying it’s got some serious power. Not the kind that’s all crammed up at the top end, but the kind that’s just smooth and responsive. I saw a shoutout from Jim Norcross and Larry Kastriba over at 80s Allies.
Test Riding
- One guy said he’s struggling to figure out what bike to get next because he’s so happy with his Thundercat. Now that’s saying something. It’s happy cruising down the motorway at 70mph or flying round a track at 130mph.
- Another dude mentioned it could easily hit 155mph. That’s more than fast enough to thrill, and I don’t even plan on going that fast, but it’s good to know the power’s there if you need it.
So yeah, that’s where I’m at with the Thundercats. I’ve done my homework, and I’m feeling pretty good about it. It’s not just a bike; it’s like a piece of nostalgia on wheels, with a whole lot of muscle to back it up. I think I’m gonna go for it. I think I’m gonna pull the trigger and get myself a Znen Thundercats.
