Thicc Pikachu Plushies & Toys: Get Yours Before Theyre Gone!

Okay, so I saw this “thicc pikachu” thing going around, and, like, I had to try and make one myself. I’m not gonna lie, it seemed kinda silly at first, but the more I thought about it, the funnier it got. So I decided to give a shot.

Thicc Pikachu Plushies & Toys: Get Yours Before Theyre Gone!

Getting Started

First things first, I needed a base, you know? Like, a regular Pikachu to start with. So, I grabbed some yellow clay – I think it was Sculpey, the bake-able kind. I warmed it up in my hands, rolling it into a ball. This part was easy, just making a basic sphere shape. Then, I kinda squished it down a bit, making it more oval, like Pikachu’s body.

Building the… Assets

This is where things got interesting. To make Pikachu “thicc,” well, I needed to add some, uh, volume to certain areas. I took some more of that yellow clay and rolled out two bigger balls. Much bigger. These were going to be the, ahem, cheeks. I attached them to the lower part of the oval, blending them in as best as I could. It took some smoothing and shaping, but eventually, it started to look… well, thicc.

  • Roll out two large clay balls.
  • Attach to the lower body.
  • Smooth and shape until, well, you know.

Adding the Details

With the, uh, main feature taken care of, I moved on to the rest of Pikachu. I rolled out some smaller yellow pieces for the arms and legs, making them short and stubby, like the original. I used a toothpick to make little indentations for the fingers and toes. For the tail, I rolled out a long, flat piece of yellow clay and shaped it into that iconic lightning bolt. I pressed it onto the back, making sure it was securely attached.

The ears were pretty simple – just two long, pointy triangles of yellow clay. I used a bit of black clay at the tips, just like the real Pikachu. For the face, I used tiny balls of black clay for the eyes and nose, and a tiny bit of red clay for those cute rosy cheeks. I used the toothpick again to make a little smile.

Baking and Finishing

Once I was happy with how everything looked (and after a few giggles, I’m not gonna lie), it was time to bake it. I followed the instructions on the Sculpey package, making sure not to overbake it. I think it was like 275 degrees for 15 minutes per 1/4 inch of thickness. I just eyeballed it, honestly.

After it cooled down, I gave it a coat of clear glaze to make it shiny. And that was it! My very own thicc Pikachu. It’s definitely… something. It’s sitting on my desk now, and every time I look at it, I can’t help but chuckle. It’s so ridiculous, but in a good way. Would I recommend making one? Absolutely. It’s a fun, silly little project, and the end result is, well, unforgettable.
