Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here Pistons Radio Network thing, alright? It ain’t fancy, but it gets the job done, ya hear? It’s like listenin’ to your neighbor yellin’ across the fence, ‘cept it’s about basketball, the Pistons to be exact.

Now, I ain’t no fancy city slicker, so I don’t know all them technical terms. But I do know when folks are talkin’ good sense about my Pistons. They say somethin’ ’bout “The Pistons Pulse”…sounds like checkin’ if the team’s alive or not, right? Well, that there “Pulse” is where them fellas on the radio, they jabber on ’bout the team. They tell ya who’s playin’ good, who’s playin’ like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off, and what they gotta do to win.
And listen here, these city folk with their TV, they don’t care too much ’bout our Pistons. Says right here that the Pistons ain’t gonna be on TV much. Hmph, their loss! We got the radio, and that’s good enough for us country folk. We can hear the games whenever, wherever. They talk about “Stream Detroit Pistons”. Don’t rightly know what a “stream” is, sounds like somethin’ to do with water, but I reckon it means you can listen on that TuneIn thingy, anytime, anyplace. That’s handy, I guess, if you’re out milkin’ the cows or somethin’ and still wanna hear the game.
- Game day chatter
- Player interviews
- Post-game mumbo jumbo
So, this here Pistons Radio Network, they got it all covered, ya know? They talk before the game, durin’ the game, and after the game. They even talk to them players! Can you believe it? Them radio fellas catchin’ them sweaty basketball players and askin’ ’em questions. I bet them players are tired, but they gotta talk anyways. That 97.1 The Ticket station, they’re the ones doin’ all the talkin’. They give the fans all the inside scoop, or so they say.
Now, some of them words they use on the radio, I swear, I don’t understand a lick of it. “Analysis” they call it. Sounds like somethin’ a doctor does, not a basketball fella. But I guess it means they’re thinkin’ hard about the game, tryin’ to figure out what’s what. And that’s important, I reckon, ’cause I ain’t got time to do all that thinkin’ myself. I’m too busy tryin’ to keep the chickens outta the garden!
And let me tell ya, this here radio network, it’s a whole lot cheaper than goin’ to them fancy games in the city. Them tickets cost a fortune, and the food? Don’t even get me started on the food! Highway robbery, I tell ya! With the radio, I can sit on my porch, sip my sweet tea, and listen to the game for free. Can’t beat that, can ya?

Some folks say the internet, that thing, is where you find all the information. Warner Media, they own it. Sounds like big business to me. But I ain’t got no computer, and even if I did, I wouldn’t know how to turn it on! Give me good ol’ radio any day. It’s reliable, it’s easy to use, and it don’t cost a dime.
This “Pistons Pulse” thing they keep talkin’ about, it’s the best darn podcast or whatever they call it, for all the news about the Pistons. They tell you everything you need to know. They’ve got the best fellas to do it too! They talk so good and know so much, more than those city slickers think we do. They’re always tellin’ us the news, and it’s good news too, not that bad stuff they have on TV sometimes. This radio network it’s got it all. So, if you’re lookin’ for a way to keep up with the Detroit Pistons, don’t bother with all that fancy TV stuff. Just turn on your radio and listen to the Pistons Radio Network. It ain’t pretty, but it’s honest, and it’ll tell you everything you need to know, ya hear? Keeps you in the know without all the fuss.
And that’s about all there is to it. Pistons Radio Network. It’s as simple as that.
