Okay, so I’ve been getting into supermoto lately, and let me tell you, the first thing I realized is that my old dirt bike helmet just wasn’t cutting it. I needed a proper supermoto helmet. I started this whole thing by, you know, hitting up the forums and watching a ton of YouTube videos.

First, I tried on a bunch of helmets at a local shop. I mean, a bunch. Some felt way too tight, others were too loose, and a few just felt… weird. It’s amazing how different they all feel.
Figuring Out My Needs
- Visibility: I needed a wide field of vision. Supermoto tracks have tight corners, and I want to see everything.
- Ventilation: It gets HOT out there. Good airflow is a must.
- Aerodynamics: I wanted something that wouldn’t feel like a parachute at higher speeds on the straightaways.
- Weight: A lighter helmet means less neck strain during longer rides.
I jotted down all of this before to make sure I will not forget.
After the shop visit, I did some more online research. I dug into reviews, compared specs, and basically became a temporary expert on helmet materials and safety * felt like picking my college courses.
Then I started to put the helmet on my * first,I put it from back to front ,which made me feel hard to wear. I asked my friend to help me, he laughed at me and told me that I should wear it from front to back.
I took the advice and did *,things changed, I successfully wear the helmet on!

I eventually narrowed it down to a few models and finally pulled the trigger on one that seemed to tick all the boxes. I ordered it online, and when it arrived, it was like Christmas morning.
The first time I took it out on the track, it was a game-changer. The wider viewport made a huge difference, and the ventilation kept me surprisingly cool. Plus, it just felt more secure and stable than my old helmet. I could finally focus on riding instead of fiddling with my gear. That’s an amazing feeling.
Wearing the helmet for a long time ,I found out the weight of it is important, I mean ,the light one will be a better choice.
So yeah, that’s my supermoto helmet journey. It took a bit of effort, but finding the right helmet was totally worth it. Now I can rip around the track with confidence and (hopefully) a little more style.
