Alright, so I decided it was time to get my Cherubi evolved in Pokémon GO. Been seeing that little cherry dude around, and I wanted to see what it turned into. You know how it is, gotta fill that Pokédex.
Getting Started
First thing, obviously, was catching enough Cherubi. Easier said than done sometimes, right? They weren’t exactly everywhere. I remember spending a good bit of time just walking around, hoping one would pop up. Sunny weather seemed to help, maybe? Or perhaps that was just in my head. Anyway, every time I saw one, I made sure to catch it. Used Pinap Berries whenever I could, gotta double that candy.
Walking my buddy helped too. I set Cherubi as my buddy for a while. It’s slow going, you know, getting one candy every few kilometers, but every bit counts when you’re grinding. Took a little while, swapping it out sometimes when there was an event needing a different buddy.
The Candy Grind
Slowly but surely, the candy count went up. It takes 50 Cherubi Candy to evolve, which isn’t the worst, but it felt like it took a bit. I think I might have thrown a few Rare Candies at it too, just the ones I got from raids, to speed things up near the end. I was getting impatient.
Time to Evolve
Finally, I checked my Pokémon storage, tapped on Cherubi, and saw that magic number: 50+ candy. Felt pretty good. So, I hit the ‘Evolve’ button. You get that little animation sequence, the Pokémon spinning around, glowing white.
Now, the thing with Cherubi is, its evolution, Cherrim, has two forms: Overcast and Sunshine. And apparently, which one you get is totally random when you evolve it. There’s no trick, no special weather needed during the evolution itself, not like some other Pokémon. You just press the button and hope for the one you want, or the one you’re missing.
So, the evolution finished. The light faded and… I got the Overcast Form Cherrim. Looks kinda like a closed-up purple bud. It was cool, definitely needed it for the collection. Can’t complain, an evolution is an evolution.
Of course, now I gotta get another 50 candy to try for the Sunshine Form. That one looks way different, like an open pink flower. The grind starts again, I guess. But hey, that’s the game. Catching, grinding candy, evolving. Simple stuff, keeps you busy.
