Okay so here’s the thing – I spent like, a stupid amount of time last night running around like a headless chicken trying to find this darn Iris character in Wuthering Waves. Seriously. I knew she was near Tiger’s Maw Mine because, well, everyone online says so, but finding the exact spot? Yeah, not so easy.
My First Wild Goose Chase
I teleported straight to the Tiger’s Maw Mine Resonance Beacon. That made sense, right? Wrong. I looked around the immediate area – by the big machine contraption thing, the tents, climbed some rocks nearby. Nothing. Zip. Nada. Felt pretty dumb just circling that spot.
Then I thought, “Maybe the map marker is bugged or something?” So I opened my full map, like, properly studied it this time. I saw the road twisting away south from the main mine entrance area. Like, towards Jinzhou. Figured it was worth a shot.
Finally Getting Warmer
So I started heading down that winding road south. Seriously gave up at some point and just rode the waveboard thing. Then, bam, I notice it tucked into the mountainside on my right – a weird, dark cave entrance. Like, super easy to miss if you’re just barrelling down the road!
Jumped off, walked right in. The inside is kinda gloomy, but immediately on the left, before you even get deep? There she was. Iris. Standing there, calm as anything, waiting to hand out a quest. Couldn’t believe it was basically right at the entrance, just slightly inside the cave mouth.
Why It Trips People Up (Including Me!)
So here’s the breakdown of why it feels impossible sometimes:
- The Resonator Beacon Trap: It puts you right AT the mine entrance, not by Iris’s cave. Big difference.
- The Sneaky Cave: This thing doesn’t scream “HERE I AM!” It blends into the rock face. Look for a darker patch on the mountain wall next to the road.
- Not Deep Inside: Don’t waste time exploring the whole mine! She’s literally just inside the cave you spot from the road.
- Jinzhou Direction is Key: You have to be looking south along the road that heads out of Tiger’s Maw Mine towards Jinzhou.
The relief when I finally saw her… man. Felt like cracking a secret code. Don’t be like past-me running around clueless. Just head south from the mine beacon, watch the right side for that sneaky cave, and she’ll be right there inside like, the first thing you see. Easy peasy once you know the trick!
