Alright, so I jumped into this “Start Em Sit Em” thing for Week 7, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. I started off feeling pretty confident, you know, like I had this whole fantasy football thing figured out.

First thing I did was dive into a ton of articles and expert advice. I spent hours reading up on player stats, injury reports, and matchup analyses. I was determined to make the best decisions for my team. I felt like a real coach, poring over data and trying to predict the future.
Then, I started making my lineup decisions. I swapped out a couple of players based on what I had learned. For example, I benched a wide receiver who was going up against a tough defense and started a running back who was predicted to have a breakout game. I felt pretty good about my choices at the time.
My Initial Lineup
- QB: A star player, he was a no-brainer.
- RB1: A solid, consistent performer.
- RB2: A bit of a gamble, but high potential.
- WR1: Another star, expected to shine.
- WR2: Decent, but I was on the fence about this one.
- TE: A reliable option, not flashy but gets the job done.
- FLEX: Here’s where I took a chance on a promising player.
- D/ST: A top-tier defense, should be a safe bet.
- K: Kickers, am I right? Just picked one with a good matchup.
The games kicked off, and I was glued to the screen. Some of my decisions paid off big time. That running back I started? He went off and scored two touchdowns! I was feeling like a genius. I celebrated that move, for sure. High-fived myself and everything. It is always good to do some preparation.
But then, reality hit. My star quarterback got injured in the first quarter. Seriously, what are the odds? Then my other running back, the “consistent” one, fumbled twice. It was brutal. I went from feeling on top of the world to wanting to hide under a rock.
By the end of the week, my team had put up a decent fight, but it wasn’t enough. I ended up losing by a few points. It was a tough loss, but I learned a lot. And maybe that’s worth something. I learned that even the best-laid plans can go awry. And next time, maybe I’ll trust my gut a bit more and not just rely on what the “experts” say.

So, yeah, that was my Week 7 experience with “Start Em Sit Em.” A mix of highs and lows, some good calls, some bad luck, and a whole lot of lessons learned. Time to start prepping for Week 8, I guess!
