Hey everyone, it’s your old pal here, and today I want to share a little story about something I’ve been messing around with. It’s a bit of a wild ride, so buckle up. I’ve been thinking a lot about how we can use those pesky “seven deadly sins” to actually get ahead. Yeah, you heard that right, turning those no-nos into yes-yeses.

So, here’s the deal. I started digging into this idea that maybe, just maybe, those sins – pride, lust, envy, gluttony, anger, sloth, and covetousness – aren’t just roadblocks but could be like, secret tools.
Pride
First up, pride. I figured, what if we used that feeling of being awesome to push ourselves further? So, I started taking more pride in my work, not in a bragging way, but in a “I’m gonna nail this” kind of way. And guess what? It worked! I felt more motivated and ended up doing better work.
Lust
Then there’s lust. Now, I’m not talking about anything too crazy here. I thought, what if I channeled that intense desire into wanting to achieve my goals really badly? I started getting super passionate about my projects, and it was like a fire lit under me.
Envy
Envy was a tricky one. I realized that instead of just feeling bad about what others have, I could use that to fuel my own ambition. I started looking at successful people and thinking, “I want that too!” And instead of just wishing, I started making plans to get there.
Gluttony
Gluttony, yeah, it’s not just about food. I decided to become “greedy” for knowledge and experience. I started consuming books, articles, courses, everything I could get my hands on. And the more I learned, the more I wanted to learn.

Anger
Anger. This one was tough. But I found that I could use that fiery energy to tackle challenges head-on. When something went wrong, instead of just getting mad, I channeled that anger into fixing the problem. And it felt great to turn that negative energy into something productive.
Sloth
Sloth. We all have those lazy days, right? But I figured out that sometimes, taking a break is actually good for you. I started scheduling in some downtime, and when I came back to work, I was refreshed and ready to go.
Covetousness
Finally, covetousness. Instead of wanting things I couldn’t have, I started focusing on what I really wanted in life. I made a list of my goals and started working towards them, one step at a time.
So, there you have it. I took those seven deadly sins and flipped them on their head. And you know what? It’s been working. I’m not saying it’s easy, and I’m definitely not saying I’m perfect, but it’s been a wild ride, and I’m excited to see where it takes me. And, as always, I love sharing these little experiments with you all. Let me know what you think, and maybe give it a try yourself!
