Okay, so I was browsing the sports news, as I often do, and a name popped up that caught my attention: Simi Shittu. I’d heard the name before, but I couldn’t quite place him. So, I started digging.

First, I checked out some basic info about him. Turns out, this guy has been around the block. I found out that he represented Canada at the World Championship U17 in Zaragoza, Spain. That was like eight years ago! It was mentioned that he scored an average of 9.3 points per game and pulled down 7.7 rebounds. Not too shabby for a young fella.
Then I moved on to his recent happenings.
I read an article that Simi Shittu agreed to a deal with the Orlando Magic. That’s big time! Apparently, he was playing in Israel last season, which is pretty cool. I guess he made a good impression to get picked up by an NBA team.
I got really into it and even looked up some recent game stats.
- In one game, I saw that he recorded seven points. He went 2-7 from the field and 2-3 from the free-throw line.
- But the thing that really stood out was his rebounding. The guy grabbed nine rebounds in that game! That’s some serious hustle on the boards.
So, after all this digging, I feel like I have a much better understanding of who Simi Shittu is. He’s a guy who has been grinding, playing internationally, and finally got his shot with an NBA team. And it looks like he’s making the most of it, especially with his rebounding. It’s always interesting to follow these players’ journeys and see how they develop. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on him to see how he does with the Magic.
