Okay, so I heard about this “silcotts” thing and I was like, what the heck is that? I did a little digging, and it turns out they’re these Japanese cotton pads. Apparently, they’re super popular, so I figured I gotta try them out.
Finding and Getting Silcotts
First thing I did was try to find these things. I checked on some online stores, you know, the usual spots. It wasn’t too hard to find them, actually. There were a couple of different kinds, so I just picked the ones that looked most interesting – the Uru Uru ones, because I heard they’re good for lotion.
The Unboxing
When the package arrived, I was pretty excited. I ripped it open, and there it was, a blue box with Japanese writing all over it. I opened the box, and inside were these little cotton squares. They felt really soft, kind of different from regular cotton balls.
Putting Silcotts to the Test
So, I grabbed my usual toner, the one I use every day. I poured some onto one of the silcotts pads. The cool thing was, it didn’t soak up all the product like other cotton pads do. It felt like it was actually releasing the toner onto my skin instead of just holding onto it.

- Even tried it as a mini face mask – soaked it in toner and left it on my cheeks for a few minutes. My skin felt super hydrated after!
My Final Thoughts
Honestly, I’m pretty impressed. These silcotts things are way better than the regular cotton pads I’ve been using. They’re softer, they don’t waste product, and my skin feels better after using them. I’m definitely going to keep using these. It’s a small change, but it actually makes a difference in my skincare routine!
