Okay, so today I wanted to try something fun with my partner. We’ve got a pretty significant height difference – I’m on the shorter side, and he’s, well, let’s just say he can reach things on the top shelf without a step stool. I saw this “short and tall couples” photo challenge online, and thought, why not give it a shot?
Getting Started
First, I scrolled through some examples online. I needed some inspiration, you know? Some were super cheesy, some were really cute, and some were just plain awkward. I bookmarked a few that seemed doable and fun.
The Poses
- The Classic “Pick-Me-Up”: This one was a must-try. My partner lifted me up, and I wrapped my legs around his waist. It took a few tries to get the balance right. My arms are not that strong, I have to admit it! But when we do, it was really cute!
- The “Forehead Kiss”: This one’s easy and always looks sweet. He just leaned down, and I stood on my tippy-toes.
- The “Back-to-Back”: We stood back-to-back to really emphasize the height difference. It’s kind of funny seeing how much taller he is.
- The “Sitting and Standing”: I sat on a chair, and he stood behind me, putting his arms around me. It’s a nice, cozy pose.
Taking the Photos
We just used my phone and a simple timer. I propped the phone up on a table, and we ran back and forth, trying to get into position before the timer went off. It was a bit chaotic, and we ended up with a lot of blurry shots, but we were laughing so much that it didn’t even matter. The process also very funny! We try a lots poses!
The Results
Honestly, some of the photos turned out pretty great! They’re definitely not professional quality, but they capture us and our goofy relationship. And that’s what I wanted, something genuine and fun. We got some cute keepsakes out of it, and we had a blast making them. I’m already thinking about what challenge we can try next!
