Okay, so I’ve been trying to nail down that Tiger Woods swing, specifically the face-on view. It’s way harder than it looks, let me tell you!

First, I watched a ton of videos. I mean, hours of slow-motion replays of Tiger’s swing. I focused on how he sets up, his posture, and most importantly, the way his clubface looks at different points in the swing.
My Practice Breakdown:
- Setup: I started by trying to mimic his stance. Feet shoulder-width apart, slight knee bend, and that athletic posture. It felt awkward at first, but I kept adjusting until it felt somewhat natural.
- Backswing: This is where it got tricky. I tried to keep the clubface square to the path for as long as possible, just like Tiger. My wrists felt like they were going to explode! I realized I needed to work on my wrist flexibility, big time.
- Downswing: The key, I think, is to keep that clubface from opening up too much. I practiced swinging down and through, imagining I was hitting a draw. Most of my shots were still slices, though. Sigh.
- Impact: This is the money shot, right? I focused on keeping my hands ahead of the clubhead, just like Tiger. When I actually managed to do it, the ball flight was noticeably straighter and longer. But it was so inconsistent!
- Follow-through: I tried to hold high finish like Woods.
I spent a good couple of hours at the driving range, just hitting balls and trying to feel the difference. I recorded myself a few times to see how close (or far) I was from the real deal. Let’s just say, I have a long way to go. But, I did see some improvement! My shots were definitely more solid when I managed to keep that clubface under control. So, it’s a work in progress, but I’m determined to keep at it!
