Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Rancho Duarte Golf place. It ain’t nothin’ fancy, mind you, but it’s a good place to whack some balls if you’re so inclined.
First off, they got this thing they call the “20/20/20 Rule”. Sounds complicated, but it ain’t. You start by hittin’ 20 balls real slow, like you’re showin’ someone how to do it. Then, you hit 20 more, but before each one, you swing like a crazy person five times. Finally, you hit 20 just like you normally would. I dunno why, but they say it helps. Maybe it does, maybe it don’t. Folks seem to like it though.
Now, this place is in Duarte, California. Pretty little town, I guess. The golf course is at 1000 Las Lomas Road. Can’t miss it. They got a scorecard and all that fancy stuff. Some folks keep track of their scores, I don’t bother much. I’m just there to have a good time, you know? They also got these “Maintenance Alerts” they talk about. Means they’re fixin’ stuff, I reckon. Keeps the place lookin’ nice, so that’s good.
People seem to like this Rancho Duarte Golf Course. Heard some folks sayin’ it’s a nice little course to get better at golf. They got a drivin’ range and a place to practice puttin’. That’s important, I hear. If you wanna get good, you gotta practice. I just like hittin’ the ball, even if it don’t go where I want it to.
