Rugby Challenge 4 Gameplay Review (Is It Worth Buying?)

Okay, so I finally decided to grab Rugby Challenge 4. I’d been seeing some gameplay videos online and it looked pretty fun, so I figured, why not?

First, I jumped onto the store and downloaded the game. Pretty standard stuff there. Nothing too exciting. Installation was smooth, no hiccups. I was ready to go in, like, 20 minutes, I think.

Getting Started and First Impressions

Booted it up, and the menus were… well, they were menus. Easy enough to navigate, though. Found the “Quick Match” option and picked a couple of random teams. Just wanted to dive in and see how it felt to actually play, you know?

The game loads, and I’m immediately thrown into a match. My first thought? Wow, the controls felt, different, a little sluggish. I had to practice to get familiar with it.

Experimenting with Modes

After a few quick matches (and a few embarrassing losses), I decided to check out the other game modes. There’s a career mode, where you can manage a team and take them through seasons. Seemed like a big time commitment, so I skipped that for now.

Then there’s a “Pro” mode where you control a single player. I did play with this a little.

My Overall Feeling

Honestly, it was a solid few hours of button-mashing fun.

Figuring out the different player controls, the passing, the kicking… it all felt, well, like rugby, I guess!

I did manage to score a few tries eventually, so that felt pretty good.

Still getting used to the defending, though.

Kept getting run over by the computer players.

Need to work on my tackling!

Definitely planning to keep playing and see if I can get the hang of it. Maybe I’ll even try that career mode eventually. Wish me luck!
