So, I ran into a weird issue with Rocket League the other day. Fired it up, all ready to go, and it hit me with a message saying something like “You haven’t accepted the license agreement.” Couldn’t get online, couldn’t do anything multiplayer. Super annoying.

My first thought, like always, was just to restart the game. Closed it down completely, waited a sec, launched it again. Nope, same message popped right back up. Okay, maybe my console (or PC, whatever you’re on) was being weird. Did a full restart on that too. Still no luck. The message just kept blocking me.
I figured it had to be something in the game itself. If it’s talking about a license agreement, maybe I just needed to find it and click ‘accept’ again, right? So, I started poking around in the game menus.
Finding That Pesky Agreement
Here’s what I did, step-by-step:
- I went into the Settings menu first, but didn’t see anything obvious there.
- Then I backed out and looked around the main menu screen again. Found an option called “Extras”. Seemed like a good place to look for legal stuff.
- Inside “Extras,” there was a section, I think it was called “Legal Agreements” or something similar. Bingo.
- In there, I saw a few different things listed: the EULA (End User License Agreement), the Terms of Service, and the Privacy Policy.
- I clicked on each one. Some folks say you gotta scroll all the way down, but honestly, I just opened each one, maybe scrolled a tiny bit, and then backed out or looked for an accept button. The key was just making the game register that I’d seen them.
- After I’d opened all three of those legal documents listed there, I just backed out to the main menu.
Just to be safe, I closed Rocket League one more time and relaunched it.
And guess what? It worked! No more license agreement message. I could finally search for an online match again. It was a pretty simple fix once I found where those agreements were hiding. Didn’t have to reinstall or anything complicated, just had to basically re-acknowledge those legal bits in the Extras menu.

Hopefully, if you’re running into this, just digging into those Extras and clicking on the legal agreements does the trick for you too. Took me a few minutes of clicking around, but got it sorted.
