Alright, so I wanted to dig into the 2014 New York Knicks. I’ve always been a bit of a basketball nerd, and that season was… well, let’s just say it was something. So, I decided to do a deep dive and really see what happened.

My Deep Dive into the 2014 Knicks
First, I gathered all the data I could find. I mean everything.
- I checked Game results.
- I Looked up Player statistics.
- I Found old news articles.
- I even watched some game footage, which, honestly, was painful at times.
It was like being a detective, piecing together the story of that season. I started by listing all the games, wins and losses, and the scores. Just getting a basic timeline down. Pretty simple stuff, really.
Then, I dug into the player stats. Who was scoring? Who was rebounding? Who was turning the ball over like it was their job? (Spoiler alert: there were a few candidates for that last one). I put all this into a big spreadsheet, trying to make sense of it * is just a huge table!
The news articles were interesting. They gave me a sense of the mood around the team, the expectations, and the reactions to how things were going. Lots of drama, let me tell * are many stories!
Watching the games… that was tough. Some of the games, the Knicks just looked lost out there. No energy, bad shots, turnovers… it was rough. But, you know, it also helped me see the why behind the numbers. Like, okay, this guy’s shooting percentage was terrible, but why? Was he forcing shots? Was he injured? The video helped answer some of those questions.

After all that, I started to see some patterns. I could see where things went wrong, where the team struggled, and maybe even a few things they did right (though those were fewer and farther between).I finally realized something.
It was a lot of work, but I actually enjoyed it. It was like a puzzle, and I felt like I was finally putting the pieces together. It definitely gave me a new appreciation for just how much goes into a basketball season, even a bad one.
And I have a complete document of 2014 ny knicks.
