Okay, so, yesterday I got sucked into this whole PSG vs Atletico Madrid Champions League match thing. It’s not usually my scene, but hey, I was bored. Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, that was the date. I did some digging to figure out how to watch it. Turns out, you needed to get TNT Sports 5 to watch it on TV.
Preparations
- First things first, I checked the kickoff time. It was scheduled for 3 p.m. ET, which is 8 p.m. GMT. I quickly searched where to watch the game.
- Then I needed to find a way to watch it. I don’t have cable, so I started looking for streaming options.
Finding a Stream
I found out that Paramount+ was streaming the game live. The cool part was they had a free seven-day trial. I figured, why not? I signed up for the trial. Free soccer, you know?
Watching the Game
- Tuning In: I got everything set up a little before 3 p.m. ET. Paramount+ was pretty easy to use.
- Game Time: The game started, and I have to admit, it was more exciting than I thought it would be. I’m not a huge soccer guy, but the Champions League is a big deal, it seems.
- Following Along: Since I’m not too familiar with the teams, I googled some stuff about their lineups and stats. It helped me understand what was going on a bit better.
Post-Game Thoughts
After the game ended, I did a little more reading about the teams. I checked out some reactions and highlights online. The whole experience was pretty fun, even for someone who doesn’t usually watch soccer. I learned a bit about the sport. I’m not sure if I’ll become a regular viewer, but it was cool to try something new. Plus, it was free, so no complaints there! I canceled the Paramount+ trial right after, though. No need for extra charges. All in all, it was a good way to spend a Wednesday afternoon.
