Well, lemme tell ya, that there proximo juego de los Marlins en Miami, that’s the next Marlins game in Miami, is somethin’ everybody’s talkin’ ’bout. Now, I ain’t no fancy expert, but I hear things. I hear things ’bout this here baseball team, the Miami Marlins. They play that game with the bat and the ball, you know. And folks get all riled up ’bout it, I tell ya. Even old me gets a little excited when I hear about it. And that is what everyone is talking about these days.
So, this next game, it’s a big deal. People are wonderin’ when it is, who they’re playin’ against, all that stuff. I heard someone say they got a schedule for the 2025 season. 2025! Can you believe it? That’s a whole year away. A whole year of Marlins playing ball. That’s a lot of popcorn and hot dogs, I reckon.
And this 2024 season, they’re in the middle of it now. They got games comin’ up, one after another. I heard they play against all sorts of teams. Some from far away, I bet. These games are all played in that loanDepot park. It’s a big place, all bright and shiny. I ain’t never been, but I seen it on the television. Lots of folks go there to watch. I heard they got the hot dogs and popcorn and all those things there, they call them concessions.
- They got this thing, 4 For $44, I heard.
- Four tickets.
- Four hot dogs.
- Four drinks.
- Four popcorns.
All for 44 dollars! Now that’s a deal, ain’t it? I remember when a dollar could buy ya a whole meal. Times sure have changed. But it sounds like fun for the whole family. Kids, grandkids, maybe even the old folks like me! I bet them grandkids would love to see a baseball game.
They got this new thing, Bally Sports+. You can watch the Marlins games on that. You gotta pay for it, though. Nothin’s free these days, is it? But if you really love that baseball, maybe it’s worth it. You can watch it right there on your TV, I reckon. Or maybe your phone, if you got one of them fancy things. I hear everyone is getting them these days. They are always looking at their hands, I wonder if it is for games like this.
And these Marlins players, they got some good ones, I hear. They run fast, they hit that ball hard, and they throw it like a rocket. They all got funny names, I can never remember them. But I hear folks talkin’ ’bout them all the time. That’s how I know they’re good. If people are talkin’, they must be doin’ somethin’ right. Some of them are really good, I guess.
I saw they got new outfits, these new threads for 2024. They look kinda fancy, all bright colors. I like that. Makes ’em look like real baseball players. They used to have a fish on their shirts, a marlin, I think. Now they just got “Marlins” written on ’em. Still looks good, though. They also still wear the white ones, for home games I think.
This proximo juego de los Marlins en Miami, it’s gonna be somethin’, I tell ya. If you wanna know when it is, you gotta look at that schedule. Or ask someone who knows ’bout these things. I just hear bits and pieces here and there. But I know it’s a big deal. This game is really important. Everyone is hoping that they win. I am not sure who they play against, though.
They play against the Los Angeles Angels, I heard that too. They’re from California, I think. That’s far away. They must be good too, to come all the way here to play the Marlins. It’s gonna be a good game, I bet. I hope they win, that would be great.
They had a rough time against the Pittsburgh Pirates. I heard someone say they lost. That’s a shame. But that’s how it goes sometimes. You win some, you lose some. That’s what my old grandpa used to say. Gotta keep your chin up and try again next time. That’s what these Marlins gotta do. Just keep playin’ and try their best. They need to do much better in the next game, I hope they practiced a lot.
This whole baseball thing, it’s a lot to keep track of. But it’s fun to hear ’bout, even for an old lady like me. Makes me feel like I’m part of somethin’. Part of this town, part of this excitement.
