Okay, so I recently tackled this whole “Barefoot Resort and Golf” thing, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I’m going to walk you through what I did, step by step. No fancy jargon, just the straight goods.

Getting Started: The Research Phase
First things first, I needed to figure out what Barefoot Resort and Golf actually was. Was it one giant golf course? A bunch of courses? A hotel? All of the above? I hit up my trusty search engine and started digging.
I scrolled through a bunch of websites, mostly official-looking ones and some travel blogs. It became pretty clear pretty quickly that it’s a whole complex – multiple golf courses, a resort with different accommodation options, restaurants, the works.
Planning the Trip(Hypothetically!)
I wasn’t actually going on this trip, but I wanted to go through the planning process as if I were. So, I pretended I was booking a long weekend golf getaway.
- Picking Dates: I checked my calendar for a good long weekend, thinking about the weather in South Carolina.
- Choosing Courses: There are four signature courses there, designed by some big names in golf. I “picked” two that seemed challenging but also fun. I read some reviews to help me make the pretend decision.
- Figuring Out Accommodation I looked at the different types of places they have at the resort. It looked like they have villas, condos. If i am going with friends, i may choose one of them.
Digging into the Details
After the high-level plan, I wanted more specifics. I focused on:
- Course Layouts: I looked for maps of the courses I’d “chosen,” trying to get a feel for the terrain, the hazards, that kind of stuff.
- Restaurant options: I figured I’d be pretty hungry after a day on the course. I looked for a steak place.
Putting it All Together
The last step was basically to organize all this info. I made some notes, in an old document, with headings for each day, listing the courses, and * i would go to that trip, i will follow the plan.

So, that’s the gist of it. It was a fun little exercise in planning a golf trip, even if it was just in my imagination. I felt like I really “got” what Barefoot Resort and Golf is all about by going through the whole planning process.
