Getting Ready
Before heading out, I made sure I had the right clothes. They have a dress code—collared shirt or mock turtleneck, golf shorts, or slacks. Jeans are okay, but no gym wear or beachwear. I packed my golf bag, grabbed my clubs, and off I went.
Hitting the Course
When I arrived, the place looked really nice. It’s a beautiful course, lots of trees, and some water views. I paid my green fee and got a cart. They also have a driving range, which I used to warm up a bit.
- The Front Nine: The first few holes were challenging but fun. I remember the par 4’s on 1, 2, and 3 being particularly tough. Lots of doglegs, which made it interesting. I did okay, not my best, but I was enjoying myself.
- The Back Nine: I got into a better rhythm on the back nine. Hole 13 was another strong par 4, as those reviews had mentioned. I managed to par it, which felt good. The scenery was great, and the course was in good shape.
Wrapping Up
After finishing all 18 holes, I was pretty tired but satisfied. I grabbed a bite to eat at the clubhouse—they have a decent menu. It was a good day of golf overall. The course was challenging but fair, and the staff were friendly. I’d definitely recommend Pine Ridge to anyone looking for a good round of golf in the Baltimore area. It’s a well-maintained course with a bit of history, and it’s open to the public, which is a plus. Just remember the dress code, and you’re good to go!
