Okay so I decided to give this Peter Miles Racing game a shot last weekend cause everyone was talking about it. First thing I did was smash that install button and dive straight into a race. Big mistake.

The Total Disaster Phase
I picked the fastest looking car thinking “yeah this’ll win easy” and slammed the accelerator right when the race started. Boom! Crashed into the wall before turn one. Tried again, spun out on corner two. By lap three? Came dead last every single time. Felt like throwing my controller through the TV honestly.
Getting My Butt Unkicked
Finally swallowed my pride and hit the practice track. Learned two big things: throttle control is EVERYTHING and braking early saves your life. Started feathering the gas like it’s made of eggshells instead of stomping it. Braked way earlier than felt natural – especially before sharp corners where I kept spinning out.
- Changed view to bumper cam – sounds weird but seeing the road close up made judging turns way easier
- Stopped using manual transmission – automatic shifted smoother than my clumsy gear changes
- Picked slower “starter” cars – less speed but actually finished races without crashing
First Win Feels
After like 20 practice laps on Alpine Pass track (short course = less screw up time), entered a rookie race. Lap one – stayed in 4th place just focusing on clean turns. Lap two – passed two guys who crashed in hairpin corner where I brake earlier than them. Final lap? Leader bot slammed into barriers and I crawled past him doing 40mph. Scraped home by half a car length! Heart was pounding like crazy.
The big shocker? After that first win the next three races got EASIER. Suddenly I’m actually racing bots instead of just surviving. Still trash at rain races though… baby steps.
