Alright, let’s talk about them football picks, ya know, the NFL. This week’s games, who’s gonna win, who’s gonna lose. It’s all a big guessing game, ain’t it? But I’ve been watchin’ these fellas run around, and I got some thoughts.

There’s this fella, Mike Spector, he picks upsets. Says some of them losin’ teams gonna win. Maybe he’s right, maybe he’s wrong. But it’s somethin’ to think about when you’re makin’ your NFL picks this week.
Now, some folks use computers to pick winners. Said they got “algorithms” and “AI.” Sounds like a whole lotta hogwash to me. But they say it works. They got somethin’ called “ATS,” means “against the spread.” I don’t rightly know what that means, but it’s about how many points a team wins by, or somethin’ like that. Anyways, them computer fellas, they give you their NFL predictions, and you can bet money on it if you’re a gamblin’ type.
Me? I just watch the games. I see who’s runnin’ fast, who’s catchin’ the ball, who’s knockin’ heads. That’s how I pick my winners. And I’ve been doin’ pretty good this year, if I do say so myself. Been on a “hot streak,” they call it. Means I’ve been winnin’ more than I’ve been losin’.
So, for this week, besides the Ravens, who else I like? Well, there’s this team, they got a good quarterback. Throws the ball real purty. I think they gonna win. And there’s another team, they got a tough defense. Don’t let nobody score. I think they gonna win too. I ain’t gonna name names, ya know, keep it a secret. But you watch them games, and you’ll see who I’m talkin’ about.
It ain’t easy pickin’ winners in the NFL. These fellas, they’re all good. They’re all professionals. They all want to win. But somebody’s gotta lose, that’s just the way it is.
