Need the latest stats? Find the current nba leaders 2024-2025 rankings and stay informed all season long.

Alright, so I started thinking about the next NBA season, 2024-2025, and wanted to get a handle on who the potential leaders might be. You know, just getting my head straight before things kick off again. It’s always good to see who was running things recently.

My process wasn’t anything fancy. I basically just sat down and started poking around online. Looking up stats from the last season, the 2023-2024 run. That’s usually the best starting point, right? You gotta look back to look forward sometimes.

It took a bit of clicking around. You know how it is, some sites bury the stats you want, others throw too much random stuff at you. I was mainly looking for the big categories – scoring, defense, that kind of stuff.

Digging into the Numbers

After a while, I started piecing things together. Some names kept showing up.

  • Points Kings: I remember seeing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s name everywhere. Pretty sure he scored the most total points last season. Yeah, definitely him. And it wasn’t just total points, he had a crazy number of games scoring 30 or more. Felt like every other box score had him lighting it up.
  • Scoring Average: Then there was Luka Dončić. His points per game average was just off the charts. He was the guy topping that specific list, putting up huge numbers almost every night.
  • On the Defensive End: Steals are always interesting. I saw Dyson Daniels getting mentioned quite a bit for his steals performance. Maybe not the absolute highest raw number overall compared to minutes played or something, but definitely a name that stuck out as being really disruptive on defense. Someone to keep an eye on for sure.

So, you look at these guys who dominated the stats sheets in 23-24. It gives you a picture. Doesn’t mean they’ll repeat exactly in 24-25, obviously. Things change fast in the league. Injuries happen, players move teams, young guys come out of nowhere.

But for me, this is how I start prepping for the new season. Checking the leaders from the year before. It helps frame my expectations, gives me names to watch closely when the games start up again. It’s less about predicting the future perfectly and more about just getting reacquainted with the landscape. Just my way of getting ready.
