Today I was thinking, why not get some new shorts for shooting hoops? Figured I’d start with Nike, since, you know, they’re kinda the big dogs in basketball gear.
So I hit up the Nike website. Typed in “women’s basketball shorts” in the search bar and bam! A whole bunch of options popped up. I started scrolling through, checking out different styles, colors, and whatnot. They had those classic, loose-fitting ones, some tighter compression shorts, and even a few with some fancy designs.
But here’s a thing, I noticed some of them were on sale. Who doesn’t love a good deal, right? Also, it mentioned free delivery and returns on select orders. That’s a sweet deal cause sometimes I order stuff online, and it doesn’t fit right.
After browsing Nike, I thought, “Let’s see what else is out there.” Hopped over to JD Sports. They had a big banner saying something about holiday savings, like up to 50% off and an extra 25% off if you spend 180 bucks. Not bad. They had Nikes and other brands like Adidas, Vans, and some others I hadn’t heard of before.
Then I checked out Foot Locker. They had a pretty decent selection, too. Saw a few pairs that caught my eye. One was called “Fly Crossover” or something. Sounded kinda cool, but I couldn’t find much info about what made them special.
I also found some stuff about basketball shoes while I was at it. It was talking about how the soles are designed for grip and how some brands, like Nike and Adidas, are known for certain things. Like, Nikes are supposed to be durable, and Adidas are lightweight. They also mentioned some special shoes with a technology called “Load ‘N Launch” that supposedly helps you jump higher. But that was about basketball shoes, not really what I was looking for.
And there was a picture of some basketball player, Caitlin Clark, wearing pink Nike shoes. They looked pretty slick, but again, not really what I was after. I just needed some new shorts, man.
Anyways, I haven’t decided which shorts to get yet. Gonna sleep on it. Maybe I’ll find a hidden gem in one of those online stores, or maybe I’ll just stick with the classic Nikes. We’ll see.
