Keeping Up with the Blazers Game Last Night
So, yeah, the Blazers game was on last night. Knew it was scheduled, had it kinda marked in the back of my mind, you know?

My plan was simple: finish work, grab some snacks, and just chill watching the game. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. Ended up buried in some stuff I absolutely had to get done. Just couldn’t step away from the desk.
So there I was, typing away, but trying to keep one eye on what was happening with the team. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you.
- First, I tried just refreshing a score page on my phone every few minutes. Felt like watching paint dry, the updates were so slow sometimes.
- Then I thought, maybe I’ll catch a stream? Nope, connection was choppy as heck last night for some reason. Just buffering. Gave up on that quick.
- My buddy, Mike, was actually watching it. He sent a few texts, like “Man, tough shooting night” or something about a turnover. But it’s not the same, you know? Just little bits, no flow.
It got pretty frustrating, honestly. You want to follow along, feel the game, but you’re stuck just getting these tiny, delayed updates. Kinda takes the fun out of it.
By the time I finally wrapped up my work, it was super late. The game was long over. Didn’t even have the energy to look up highlights or read a recap. Just wanted to crash.
Eventually, I did see the final score just before turning in. Saw who won, who lost. Just glanced at it on my phone’s notification screen. Wasn’t the way I wanted to find out, stuck working and checking scores like a hawk.

Ah well, that’s how it goes sometimes. Can’t catch ’em all live, I guess. Just gotta hope I can actually sit down and watch the next one properly. Need to see for myself what’s going on with the team this year.
