Alright, so, I’ve been wanting to keep up with the MotoGP races this year, you know? It’s just so easy to lose track of when and where they are. So, I did a little digging online about the 2024 schedule. I found out that there are going to be 20 rounds in total for MotoGP.

I gotta say, it’s a bit of a pain to manually note down every single race date. You know, checking each race, writing down the date, double-checking… But it looks like it’s going to be 20 races, which is a lot to remember.
My Process
First, I tried to find a full list of the races. I mean, I needed to know where each race was going to be. Turns out, there are lots of sites listing them. I found many websites that all have the race calendar. They all have the same basic information, but not all of them have the full calendar. I eventually found one I liked and it had the whole schedule in one place. Easy.
Then, I started thinking about how to actually keep track of these dates. My first thought was, “Okay, I’ll just put them in my phone’s calendar.” I use an Android phone, so that means Google Calendar. The calendar is pretty easy to use and has some nice features.
- Step 1: I opened the site with the calendar I liked. It had a big button that said “Add to Calendar.” I clicked it.
- Step 2: The site asked me which calendar app I use. I picked Google Calendar since that’s what I use.
- Step 3: A new tab opened asking me to log into my Google account. I did.
- Step 4: It showed me a preview of the calendar and asked if I wanted to add it. Of course, I clicked “Yes.”
And that’s it! Now, all the MotoGP races are in my calendar. I get notifications before each race, so I won’t miss any. It’s pretty sweet. No more manual entry, no more forgetting. Just set it and forget it. It even updates automatically if they change any dates. Pretty cool, huh? I didn’t even know you could do that.
So yeah, that’s how I tackled this little project. It wasn’t too hard, and now I’m all set for the MotoGP season. I’m pretty happy about that. Hope you all find this useful, too! Let’s enjoy the races!
