Hey everyone, it’s been a while! Today, I wanna talk about something that’s been buzzing around the wrestling world: Michael Cole leaving SmackDown for Raw. Yeah, you heard that right, the voice of SmackDown is moving to Monday nights!

So, first things first, I scrolled through my usual wrestling news sites. I saw a headline that caught my eye: “Michael Cole to Join WWE Raw as it Transitions to Netflix.” Whoa, that’s big news! I clicked on the article and started reading.
Apparently, WWE made a massive $5 billion deal with Netflix to move Raw to the streaming platform in 2025. And guess what? Cole signed a new long-term contract and confirmed he’ll be calling the action on Raw once it hits Netflix. I was like, “No way, this is huge!”
Then I dug a little deeper. I found out that WWE is planning a major shake-up of the Raw roster when it moves to Netflix. That makes sense, right? New platform, new faces, new stories. And with Cole being the voice of Raw, it’s gonna be a whole new vibe.
My Reaction and Thoughts
- Honestly, I was a bit shocked at first. Cole has been with SmackDown for so long, it’s hard to imagine him anywhere else. But then I thought about it, and it makes sense. He’s a veteran, he’s got the experience, and he’s still passionate about the business.
- I also read an interview where Cole said he still feels like he has a lot left in him. That’s awesome! It’s great to see someone so dedicated to their craft.
I kept digging for more info. I learned that Cole and Wade Barrett were moved to Raw, while Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves went to SmackDown. This shuffle happened a while back, but it all seems to be leading up to this big move to Netflix. Cole had announced previously that he would be leaving smackdown, and it actually happened.
And get this, I stumbled upon an article that confirmed Cole’s status for the upcoming move to Netflix. So, it’s official, folks! Michael Cole will be on Raw starting January 6, 2025, when it debuts on Netflix. He also said that he’ll be calling Monday Night RAW when the show debuts on Netflix.

I’m really excited to see how this all plays out. It’s a new era for WWE, and having Cole at the helm of Raw on Netflix is gonna be epic. I mean, he’s been there since 1997, the guy’s a legend! I believe that with the shift less than a month away, everything will be done well. I recorded all this news and am sharing it with you guys.
What do you all think about this move? Let me know in the comments!
