Alright, so I wanted to check out how Lauri Markkanen’s been doing in his last five games. It’s something I do now and then, just keeping tabs on certain players.

First thing, I just opened up my web browser. Nothing fancy, just the usual one I use every day. Then I went to the search bar, you know, Google or whatever.
I typed in something simple, like “lauri markkanen last 5 games stats”. Sometimes I add ‘NBA’ just to be sure I get the right sport, but usually, the search engine knows what I mean.
Hit enter and boom, a page full of results. You get the usual suspects: ESPN, the official NBA site, maybe Basketball-Reference, sometimes Yahoo Sports too. I tend to click on one of the big names first, maybe ESPN or *, ’cause they usually have the game logs laid out clearly.
So I clicked one. Had to look around the player page for a second. They usually have tabs or sections like ‘Stats’, ‘Bio’, and ‘Game Log’. I looked for the ‘Game Log’ or maybe it’s called ‘Recent Games’. Found it and clicked that.
Then I just scrolled down or made sure it was showing the most recent games. Sometimes you gotta check the dates. I just counted back five games from the top one listed.

What I Looked For
For each of those five games, I scanned the main stat lines. My usual checklist is pretty basic:
- Points: Obviously, how much did he score?
- Rebounds: How active was he on the boards?
- Assists: Was he dishing the ball out?
- Shooting Percentages: Sometimes I glance at FG% (Field Goal Percentage) and 3P% (Three-Point Percentage) just to see how efficient he was.
I don’t usually dive super deep into advanced stats unless I’m really curious. Just want a quick snapshot of his performance, you know?
After looking at the numbers for those five games, I got a rough idea. Was he scoring consistently? Did he have a monster game in there? Any stinkers? Just trying to get a feel for his recent trend.
And yeah, that was pretty much it. Took maybe a couple of minutes tops. Just a quick search, click, find the game log, and scan the numbers. Simple process to get the info I was looking for.
