Alright, so the other day, I decided to really dig in and try to figure out who all the characters are in Girls’ Frontline 2. You know, with the game on the horizon, I was super curious, like a lot of folks. My friends and I were talking about it, and nobody seemed to have a solid list, so I thought, “Okay, I’ll tackle this.”

My Starting Point
First things first, I did what anyone would do: I hit up the usual search engines. Typed in “Girls Frontline 2 all characters,” “GF2 character list,” that kind of thing. I spent a good chunk of time just sifting through the initial results. Some official-looking sites popped up, bits and pieces from game news outlets, that sort of stuff. I clicked through, trying to get a feel for what was already out there.
Diving Deeper
After the initial sweep, I realized official channels were, well, a bit guarded. They show off some cool stuff, sure, but a full roster? Not yet. So, my next move was to check out where the real dedicated fans hang out. I’m talking forums, community hubs, social media groups dedicated to the game. That’s usually where you find the hardcore enthusiasts piecing things together.
I started lurking, reading through threads, looking at shared screenshots, and discussions about trailers or any gameplay snippets that had been released. It’s a bit like detective work, honestly. Someone spots a new face in a blurry background, and then a whole discussion kicks off.
Key things I was looking for:
- Character art or models.
- Any mentioned names, even if they were just codenames or temporary.
- Hints about their roles or factions, if any.
The Beta Test Maze
Then there’s the whole beta test information. This is where it gets tricky. I found a lot of gameplay videos and streams from various closed betas. Super helpful for seeing characters in action! But, you always gotta take beta stuff with a grain of salt, right? Characters can change, some might not even make it to the final game. So, I was trying to cross-reference what I saw. If multiple sources from different beta phases showed the same character, I felt a bit more confident adding them to my mental (and eventually, actual) list.

I spent a fair bit of time just watching footage, pausing, and trying to get clear views. Sometimes the quality isn’t great, or things are happening too fast. It’s a patient process, for sure.
Trying to Get Organized
As I gathered bits of info, it started to get messy. So, I did what I usually do when I’m trying to track a bunch of stuff – I just opened up a simple document. Started making notes. I wasn’t too formal about it, just jotted down names, brief descriptions, and where I saw the info. This helped me see who was frequently mentioned and who was more of a one-off sighting.
It was a lot of back-and-forth. Find a new potential character, then go back and see if they were mentioned in older discussions or seen in earlier footage. Sometimes you’d find conflicting information, like different names for what looked like the same character, so I’d make a note of that too.
The “All Characters” Reality
So, after all that digging, did I get a definitive, 100% complete list of “all characters”? Well, for a game that’s not fully out everywhere, or is still evolving, “all” is a moving target. Especially with gacha games, new characters are always part of the plan.
What I ended up with was a pretty solid understanding of the known characters, the ones heavily featured, and a bunch of others who’ve popped up in betas or promotional stuff. It’s an ongoing process, really. As more official info drops or the game launches globally, that list will keep growing and changing. But it was a fun exercise, and I feel like I’ve got a much better handle on who we can expect to see. It’s satisfying to piece together the puzzle, even if a few pieces are still waiting to be revealed.
