Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this “look to the stars wow” thing. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like some kinda magic show. But it ain’t nothin’ but a bunch of hooey, if you ask me. Still, folks are all excited about it, so I reckon I’ll tell ya what I heard.

There’s this girl, they call her Mary. Seems like she’s got somethin’ shiny, a mirror or somethin’. This other fella, name of Cog, he’s a gnome, I hear. Short little feller with a funny way of talkin’. Anyway, this Cog, he wants that shiny thing from Mary. Says he needs it to look to the stars. He’s one of them, what do you call it, tinkerer fellas. Always building some contraption or other.
This Cog fella, he’s got a plan, see? A blueprint, they call it. Some kinda drawin’ that shows how to make somethin’. He wants to build a thingamajig that’ll let him see the stars up close. Now, I don’t know about all that, but that’s what they say. He thinks there’s somethin’ special up there, somethin’ beyond magic. Maybe he is right. Who know these things, right?
So this Cog, he’s got this other friend, Viktori. Sounds like a fancy name to me. Anyway, Viktori wants to see the stars too. So they’re all in cahoots, tryin’ to get this shiny thing from Mary. They say Mary’s got to give it up, so they can use it for this star-lookin’ project. If you want to find Mary, you might try that Raven Hill. Orge mound is where you might find something. I hear there is a cave south-east of it.
- They say Mary is hard to convince.
- Cog is a gnome.
- Viktori wants to see the stars.
- Look to the stars wow, that’s the whole thing.
- They need a reflective surface, like a mirror.
- Cog has a blueprint.
- Viktori wants to build a device to look to the stars.
Now, I don’t know why they’re so interested in the stars. We got stars right here, just look up at night. But these young folks, they always want somethin’ more, somethin’ different. This look to the stars wow thing, it’s got ’em all riled up. They think they’re gonna find somethin’ amazing up there. I suppose that’s alright. Gotta have dreams, I reckon.
But what I heard is, this Mary, she ain’t so keen on givin’ up her shiny thing. She’s got it for a reason, I suppose. Maybe she likes to look at herself in it. Who knows? But Cog and Viktori, they gotta convince her. They gotta persuade her, that’s what they say. Like talkin’ a bird outta its nest, I reckon. It ain’t easy to do these things. You know how hard it is to convince people.

So they go off to find Mary, and they try to talk her into it. They tell her all about their star-lookin’ machine and how important it is. They tell her they need her shiny thing to make it work. And they tell her it’s for a good cause, to learn about the stars and all that. This is what look to the stars wow about. They really want to get that thing to make their machine.
Now, I don’t know if they convinced her or not. I ain’t heard the end of that story yet. But I reckon they tried their best. These young folks, they’re determined when they set their minds to somethin’. If they don’t find Mary, they may find some other ways. I guess they will not give up that easily. Maybe they can find someone else, who knows.
So that’s the story of this “look to the stars wow” thing, far as I know. A bunch of young folks tryin’ to see the stars up close. They need a shiny thing, and they gotta convince a girl named Mary to give it up. It ain’t simple, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Just need a shiny thing, and that’s all. They just want to look to the stars. I don’t know what’s all the fuss about. Stars are just stars to me.
Maybe there is somethin’ special up there in the stars. Maybe these young folks are right to be so excited. I don’t know. I’m just an old lady, what do I know about these things? But I’ll tell ya one thing, it’s a good story. And that’s somethin’, ain’t it? Maybe they will find something interesting. That would be something to talk about, you know. I wish I can see what they will see in the stars. Maybe next time, I will go with them.
