Okay, so, today I wanna talk about what I did to get ready for the Cup race this Sunday. It was a wild ride, let me tell you.

First off, I woke up early, like really early. The race was happening at Talladega, and I wanted to be all set before it started. I grabbed some coffee and checked out the starting lineup. Man, seeing those names got me pumped! There were the usual suspects, like Denny Hamlin, and I rooted for my personal favorite driver.
Then, I double-checked the TV situation. I made sure I knew which channel it was on – NBC, thank goodness, since I have that channel. That would be a disaster if I missed the race.
- Check the starting lineup online.
- Confirm the race time and TV channel.
- Set up snacks and drinks.
- Get comfortable on the couch.
I also spent some time reading up on the race. Apparently, the top finisher of the four championship-eligible drivers wins the title. That’s it. No points stuff, no stage points, just win and you’re in. Simple enough, right? The pressure these guys must be under!
Later, I called up a buddy of mine who’s also a big NASCAR fan. We talked about our predictions, who we thought would do well, and all that good stuff. It’s always fun to get another perspective.
Before I knew it, it was almost race time. I gathered my snacks, got comfortable on the couch, and flipped on the TV. I watched those cars zoom around the track. It was intense! Some real nail-biting moments, that’s for sure. One driver had a productive Saturday, to say the least. Unfortunately, my driver did not win this time, but we are looking forward to the next race in two weeks.

Race day prep complete!
So yeah, that’s basically how I geared up for the Cup race on Sunday. It was a blast, and I can’t wait for the next one at Watkins Glen International. I heard that the race is called Go Bowling at The Glen. What a name! I definitely will tune in again, and I hope my driver can win that one!
