The local grind
Checked every comicshop downtown wearing my lucky Batman socks. Third shop, this old dude behind counter goes “Oh the spider-lady? Might have something in back”. Comes out holding two boxes covered in dust bunnies. Jackpot! Got the basic series 1 figure for retail price plus this ultra-glossy metallic version I didn’t even know existed.

Display nightmares
